Two Wedge Bump Ramps, a skate rail and a complete skateboard give you more than one reason to head outside. Starter Package 1 brings the pieces together in one order, with separate obstacles you can arrange around your space and the tricks you want to work on. Start with one feature, then change the layout when you want a different session.
Two ramps, more than one way to set up
The matching Wedge Bumps can sit side by side or in separate parts of your setup. Practice an approach on one, give each rider a different obstacle, or plan a new line when your space allows. You choose the arrangement rather than committing to one large, fixed ramp.
Add a rail to the session
The included skate rail brings grinds and slides into the mix alongside the ramps. Give it its own clear approach and exit so you can concentrate on that obstacle. Choose tricks that match your ability rather than treating every feature as a first-day challenge.
A complete skateboard comes with it
You get a complete skateboard as well as the obstacles, so the package is more than a collection of ramps. It is a useful starting point when you are putting together both the board and the place to skate. Protective gear is separate.
Make your available space work harder

Keep the setup ready for another session

Sort the wooden ramp parts, hardware and photo instructions before assembly. Set the rail aside while building the ramps so each part stays with the right obstacle.
Plan each approach and exit
Position the ramps and rail on a suitable surface with clear room around each one. Measure the full skating area before deciding whether to connect the obstacles into a line.
Questions about OC Ramps Starter Package 1
Is Starter Package 1 only for someone learning their first tricks?
The package brings a board and several obstacles together, but the name does not mean every trick or obstacle is suitable for every new rider. Choose how to use each feature around your current skills. For a first setup, leave generous space and focus on one obstacle at a time.
How does Package 1 compare with Package 2?
Package 1 gives you two matching Wedge Bumps. Package 2 swaps that pair for a Micro Spine and Launch WR, with more variety in the ramp shapes. Both include a rail and a complete skateboard. Compare the obstacles you want to skate rather than expecting one package to be right for everyone.
Does Starter Package 1 include protective gear?
No. Plan for a properly fitted skate helmet and suitable protective pads separately. The board and obstacles do not replace protective equipment or choosing an appropriate place to skate.
Which tricks can I work toward on this setup?
The Wedge Bumps provide takeoffs for practicing ollies and other launch tricks; the rail offers a separate place for grinds and slides. Work toward tricks appropriate to your ability, with a clear landing and roll-away area. You do not have to use every obstacle in the same line.
Can I return the OC Ramps Starter Package 1 if it is not the right fit?
Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. The internet has all sorts of terrible ideas as to how to quiet or dampen the sound of your skateboard ramp - in particular the mini ramps (or halfpipes).
You may read about wives tales on using insulation, filling the coping with whatever, or add pillows and blankets behind the ramp. We are here to clear the air….that is all nonsense.
There are really only 2 suggestions to help quiet your mini ramp.
- You can close up the back of your skateboard ramp with ¾” thick plywood. This will eliminate the hollow sound significantly. Again, don’t read into the bogus information about filling in that empty space before you close it up with plywood. It doesn’t work. Simply closing up the backend will help with the noise. Some customers will get creative with it- we’ve seen several put hinges on the backend - making a custom door for storage, etc. That is entirely optional to make use of the space. But in terms of noise levels, close it up.
- Also using a softer gel wheel is helpful to give you the incognito vibe your neighbors won’t complain about while shredding your skateboard ramp. Generally the harder the wheel, the louder they hear ya coming! Many skaters have multiple skateboards with a different set of wheels, most prefer the harder wheels during normal street skating use & then at night we switch over to the gel softer wheels so your neighbor’s can get their precious sleep & you can shred your heart out! Not every skater likes riding a gel wheel. There are many pros/cons. For this conversation, the biggest pro for having a softer wheel is the reduced noise factor. If you have neighbors that are goin to be a narc, just throw on the soft wheels!
