A quarter pipe brings a curved transition and coping into your home setup. Use it to work on kickturns and stalls, build a line around coping tricks, or change direction between other obstacles. OC Ramps offers single quarter pipes, paired setups and distinctive signature designs, so start with the session you want rather than choosing by size alone.
New to ramp shapes? The OC Ramps buyer guides explain how shape, space and surface choices work together. Once you have a shortlist, compare each product's assembled dimensions and included components.
Height and width answer different questions. Height describes the rise of the ramp; width gives you room across the riding face. The curve of the transition also changes the ride. A product called a three-foot-wide quarter pipe is not necessarily three feet tall, so compare the individual measurements rather than relying on the name.
Measure the ramp's full footprint and the clear approach in front of it. Leave room to roll away, turn and reach the setup for maintenance. A ramp that physically fits against a wall can still be the wrong choice if the surrounding skating space is too tight.
A single quarter pipe gives an existing flat area a transition to return from. A pair creates two separate transitions, but the distance and surface between them remain part of your site plan. A half pipe or mini ramp instead includes a connected riding layout with a flat bottom. They are different purchases, not interchangeable names.
You may also see banks and launch obstacles in the wider assortment. Look at the actual shape: a straight bank face, a launch ramp and a quarter pipe do not create the same line. Choose the feature for the trick or movement you want to practice.
Before ordering, check the selected kit's materials, surface options, assembly requirements and delivery instructions. If the ramp will live outdoors, include protection and regular care in the plan rather than treating them as an afterthought. Want help with the build? Explore OC Ramps installation. For a layout beyond the standard kits, custom builds provide a separate project path.
A quarter pipe is one curved transition. A half pipe connects two transitions through a flat bottom. Choose a quarter pipe when you want a transition within a wider flat-ground setup; compare half pipes and mini ramps when you want the connected ramp layout.
Not necessarily. Some product names describe width rather than height. Check the separate height, width and length measurements on the specific product page before planning your space.
There is no single clearance that suits every ramp and session. Plan the approach, return path and turning room as well as the ramp footprint. Mark out the proposed location and assess the surrounding obstacles before choosing a model. The buyer guides help you organize that space check.
Choose one if you already have a useful approach and want a transition to skate back from. Consider a pair when your plan calls for opposing transitions and you have enough usable space between them. Check what the pair includes; two quarter pipes do not automatically include the connecting floor of a half pipe.
Start with the rider's current comfort on transitions, the tricks they want to practice and the available space. Do not choose solely by age or assume a wider ramp is taller. Compare the actual height and shape, and ask OC Ramps about the shortlisted model if you are choosing for someone else.
Check the materials, available protection options and care instructions for that model. Outdoor placement does not remove the need to protect and maintain exposed wood. Plan where water goes and how the ramp will be cared for between sessions.
OC Ramps offers installation services. Share the product and location to discuss the work required. Installation is separate from kit delivery unless expressly included in your order.
