Give a smaller setup the protection it deserves

A small ramp still deserves a proper care plan. This one-quart size of Skate Paint covers about 50 square feet of wood, making it a useful choice for a smaller obstacle or a measured recoating job. Protect the plywood you skate without opening a larger container than the project needs.

OC Ramps 1 Quart Ramp Skate Paint — skate ramp paint outdoor coating

About 50 square feet of wood protection

Start with the areas you want to coat, including the riding surface and any other exposed wood. One quart covers about 50 square feet. Measure those surfaces rather than the space the obstacle occupies on the ground, especially when the setup has sloped faces or exposed sides.

A clear finish that keeps the wood visible

Skate Paint comes in clear, so the plywood remains part of the look of your setup. Want color instead? Let Skate Paint cure first, then apply flat latex paint over it. Do not mix color or thinner into the can.

Coat compatible wood, not every riding surface

Use Skate Paint on plywood and framing lumber. It is not intended for Masonite or tempered hardboard, and it is not a coating for GatorSkins or Skatelite Pro top sheets. If your ramp combines materials, identify the wood that needs protection before you begin.

I had put down the wrong address. Oc ramps got back to me in a very short time with a phone call. The lady i talked to was very curtious and helpful. Package came in a timely manner on the exact day it was supposed to. This is a good company.

This review is for the skate paint. I’ve already left one for their ramps which is also 5 star. The skate paint did wonderful. My son said it’s absolutely perfect. Make sure you let it cure the correct amount of time though, we waited an extra day just to be safe because we have seasons here and it’s winter lol. Thank you OC!

    1. I did it in cooler weather so it went on thick and I gave it at least 3.5 days to completely cure

    2. Invest in a decent nap to roll it out

    3. I covered the critical areas first then completed the rest. Any first touches got a thicker coat

The OC ramp paint is PERFECT. I used a normal water sealer for my ramp (DO NOT DO THIS) and broke my ankle the first day skating it. A month later I striped it with a sander and re sealed it with OC ramp paint. After it cured (48 hours) my wheels actually didn’t slide on the wood. THANKS OC!!!

After our skate shop and mini ramp was destroyed by a tornado in 2020, we rebuilt our shop and wisely decided on OC Ramps for our new mini - when you figure the cost of the wood and materials, it makes way more sense to go with OC. The package arrived on a big pallet, and two of us assembled it in a few hours. GET THE SKATE PAINT ! It is awesome ! We love our new mini, and recommend OC Ramps to everyone ! Super high quality !!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about 1 Quart Ramp Skate Paint
Can I recoat a small ramp with 1 Quart Ramp Skate Paint without sanding off the entire old layer?

Yes. Clean the ramp thoroughly and remove debris, but a complete sand-down of the original Skate Paint coat is not required for reapplication. Make sure the measured repair area still fits the quart's coverage before opening the container for the focused recoating job.

Should I apply primer or another sealer before using a quart of Skate Paint?

No. Skate Paint already includes an epoxy component that serves the primer role, so a separate primer or sealer is not part of the application. Start with properly prepared real wood instead of building a stack of unrelated coatings beneath the quart.

Can one quart of Skate Paint go over an existing painted surface?

Yes, Skate Paint can adhere over an existing painted surface, although direct application to bare wood is preferred. Clean and assess the small project first, because the new coating will stick to what is already there and cannot repair a weak underlying layer.

How should I use 1 Quart Ramp Skate Paint?

Use 1 Quart Ramp Skate Paint on properly prepared exposed plywood in a compatible ramp project. Match the amount to the project, follow the current application directions, and do not apply it over GatorSkins or Skatelite Pro top sheets.

Can I return the 1 Quart Ramp Skate Paint if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Review the current OC Ramps Return Policy before ordering.
