A desk can become a street spot, a transition session or a little of both. Choose street obstacles, transition ramps or a launch

For grinds and slides, start with the Fingerboard Grind Box or Butter Bench. For balance tricks, the Manny Pad gives you a platform to work on manuals and nose manuals. A picnic table adds different levels to aim for without needing several separate obstacles.

Choose a quarter pipe for a single transition, or a half pipe for a back-and-forth line. A Launch WR gives a different approach when you want to pop out toward an open landing. Start with the style you enjoy rather than trying to fill every inch of the table.

Plan the line, not just the obstacle footprint

Measure the usable tabletop and compare it with each product’s dimensions. Leave clear space before and after the obstacle, plus room for your hand to follow the board. Keep the session away from the table edge and move loose objects out of the landing area.

For a simple first layout, place one box along the longer direction of your desk. Try the approach and exit before adding a second feature. If your hand hits another obstacle during the trick, spread the layout out rather than buying more pieces to fill the gap.

Buying a gift or starting without a fingerboard?

Check whether the recipient already has a fingerboard and which obstacles they own. An obstacle purchase should not be treated as a complete board-and-ramp bundle unless its contents explicitly say so.
