Give your next grind room to run

When four feet feels too short for the line you have in mind, the 6 Foot Grind Box adds length without adding height. Its nine-inch-high ledge gives you room to work on grinds, slides and manuals at home. The pre-drilled kit includes wood, metal parts, hardware and photo instructions, putting the build within reach without asking you to design it from scratch.

Put two more feet into your ledge session

Compared with the four-foot box, this model adds two feet of length while keeping the same nine-inch height and 19-inch depth. That gives a grind, slide or manual more distance to travel, without moving to a taller obstacle. Choose the extra length for the tricks and approaches you want to practice, rather than assuming the biggest box is always the best fit.

Leave room before and after the ledge

Six feet describes the box, not the full skating area. Plan the roll-up, space to set up your trick and a clear landing beyond it. The box weighs 45 pounds, so think through where it will stay between sessions and how you will move it when needed. Our Space and Fit guide helps you check the complete line alongside the other uses of your space.

Spend the build putting parts together

OC Ramps supplies the wood components, galvanized metal parts, assembly hardware and photo instructions in one kit. Pre-drilled parts and an assembly estimate of about 20 minutes make this a different project from drawing plans and gathering materials yourself. If you are deciding how much of the build you want to take on, our DIY, Kit or Custom guide compares the choices.

Make wood protection part of the purchase

The optional one-quart Skate Paint comes with the kit when selected, giving you a coating for the exposed wood. It does not change the ledge's dimensions or add a separate surface panel. For an outdoor setup, plan how you will protect and store the box as well as where you will skate it. Our Ramp Care guide covers the upkeep that belongs alongside regular sessions.

Build a line around the longer box

A longer ledge can anchor a setup without being the only way you skate it. The separately sold GB Kicker is designed to pair with OC Ramps grind boxes, offering a ramped approach when that suits your session. Start with the line you want to ride and leave room for the approach and exit before adding the next obstacle.

Had an issue with not receiving all items for a grind box and emailed them. They insisted on giving me a free ramp which I told them no thanks but one was delivered anyway. Don’t get customer service like that very often. My son is very grateful.

    Love it!!

I haven't been skating that long. I bought the grind box maybe 4 months into skating and now im 6 months into skating! Unfortunately I had a lot of house work and it got buried in the garage so I wasn't able to put it together until two months after I ordered it. Shipping was really fast and I love everything about it! The reason im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is just because I felt like the directions were not detailed enough and for me, my piece of wood was warped a little so when I was screwing the support in I had to make my own holes because they weren't lining up with the pre drilled holes. Also the fact that its not easy to carry/move around I think it would be nice if there were some hole cut outs in the side as a handle to pick it up and move it wherever. If its just me seshing it I have to lift it up on its side and 'walk' it (teeter totter it) to where I want it.

Overall im super happy with my purchase (: I even want to name it because its just so smooth and fun to mess around with (:

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about 6 Foot Grind Box
How does the 6 Foot Grind Box compare with Cody McEntire's American Bench?

Both are six feet long, but the Grind Box is a nine-inch-high rectangular ledge that weighs 45 pounds. Cody McEntire's American Bench stands 14 inches high, weighs 60 pounds, and uses a Butter working surface. Choose the Grind Box for a lower standard ledge; choose the signed bench when its taller form and Butter surface fit the session.

Can the 6 Foot Grind Box connect with the GB Kicker?

Yes. The GB Kicker matches the Grind Box at nine inches high and 19 inches wide, creating an optional approach into the longer ledge. Plan enough pavement for both products, complete each build, and make sure the joined route stays level and clear before riding.

How does the 6 Foot Grind Box fit into a mixed obstacle setup?

Its middle length can provide a substantial ledge without taking the full lane demanded by the eight-foot box. It works best when the surrounding setup needs a dedicated low edge and still has room for a rail, kicker, or transition to keep a separate route.

What tricks can riders practice on the 6 Foot Grind Box?

Use the 6 Foot Grind Box for ledge skills such as 50-50 grinds, boardslides, noseslides, and ollies on or off the obstacle. Where the top and geometry support it, riders can also work on manuals and nose manuals.

Can I return the 6 Foot Grind Box if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Review the current OC Ramps Return Policy before ordering.
