Keep the session moving both ways

One approach does not have to be the whole session. The Micro Spine joins two transition faces in a narrow ramp, giving you a route over the center and another direction to come back from. Its 15-inch height makes it a different choice from a full-size quarter-pipe spine when you want that two-sided shape in your home setup.

Connect two approaches through the center

A spine brings transition faces together back to back. On the Micro Spine, that shape gives you a feature to approach from either direction and work across within your ability. It serves a different session from a single kicker or flat ledge. Our Ramp Shape guide helps you picture how those movements fit the skating you enjoy.

Measure its length as well as its width

The Micro Spine is two feet wide but eight feet long, with a 15-inch height. The narrow body can be useful in a layout, provided both ends still have clear pavement for the approach and exit. Mark out the full length before choosing the spot, then add the space you will skate around it. Our Space and Fit guide helps you make that check.

Bring a build plan to your first session

Micro Spine requires a drill, with assembly estimated at about one hour. Use the photo instructions to work through the two-sided build and leave room to organize the parts. If you are deciding between a kit and making a ramp from plans, our DIY, Kit or Custom guide explains how the design, sourcing and assembly work differ.

Choose the coating for exposed wood

The current Micro Spine choices let you order without Skate Paint or add one quart. That coating is for the exposed plywood, separate from the shape of the ramp and its riding layers. Think about where the spine will live and how you will care for it outdoors. Our Ramp Care guide explains the checks and upkeep to keep in your routine.

Add variety beyond another transition

Before filling the rest of the space, think about what the spine already gives you: two transition faces and a path across the middle. A separately sold 4 Foot Grind Box can add ledge practice if grinds, slides or manuals are the next thing you want to work on. Keep each feature's approach clear so the new obstacle adds a useful part of the session.

    Micro Spine

My child went to a pump track that opened in town, not knowing how to even use a glide bike, and 1 week later he was riding his bike. So we ordered this and the rest is history. He loves it! Stained it with the OC Ramps skate paint which was a great touch for longevity and it looks sick.

My son got this for Christmas. It was super easy to put together. Instructions were clear and everything went as stated. It’s a 2 person lift but easy to manage when it has to be moved. My son is already using the ramp and having a great time trying to learn tricks.

    Love the ramps

My kids and their friends have an amazing time using them. One of the boards arrived chipped, but that didn't affect the usage. I would suggest better packaging.

We didn’t put it together yet but judging by the weight it’s very well made. However, the package came open at the bottom and chips of wood falling out so we hope all is ok. It says fragile, care should be taken when that sticker is slapped on there

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about Micro Spine Skate Ramp
How does Micro Spine differ from the Quarter Pipe Spine Ramp?

Micro Spine is the narrower, lower option at 15 inches high and two feet wide. Quarter Pipe Spine stands two feet high and is wider. Choose Micro Spine when a compact two-sided transition better fits the rider and site; choose the larger spine for more scale.

How does Micro Spine compare with the Green Monster Flat Rail?

Micro Spine is a two-foot-wide, 15-inch-high ramp with transition faces on both sides. Green Monster is a 25-pound flat rail with an 11-to-14-inch adjustable height range and a body that separates for moving. Choose Micro Spine when the route needs a compact direction change; choose Green Monster when a narrow adjustable grinding surface is the missing obstacle.

How does Micro Spine compare with Launch WR?

Micro Spine uses two back-to-back transition faces, while Launch WR combines a launch face with a wallie face. Compare the movement the rider wants to repeat. Both are compact multi-face obstacles, but they change direction in different ways and should not be treated as substitutes by name alone.

How can riders use the Micro Spine Skate Ramp?

Use the Micro Spine Skate Ramp as a line-building obstacle for launches, ollies, and other tricks that fit its exact shape. Give the feature a straight approach and clear landing or exit, then progress from basic rollovers and controlled launches within the rider's ability.

Can I return the Micro Spine Skate Ramp if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Review the current OC Ramps Return Policy before ordering.
