OC Ramps 7th annual RAMPTOBER was a major success. This past Saturday, October 24th, we opened our warehouse to the public to come free skate, and check out our team and many other pros who came out to skate! We opened the doors at 7pm and had free skate until 8pm. The red bull girls came out to the warehouse passing out drinks to all the party goers, and we had the foodtruck, Burntzilla, dishing out hot dogs and garlic fries. This year we also added some brand new sponsors to the event and they were all set up by our mini ramp. Some of these new sponsors included: Osiris, Ethika, Diamond, Key Street, and the Sheckler Foundation! From 8-9 we held the ledges/street contest. Micky Papa won first place in the street contest and took home a cash prize and a few goods from the sponsors. He won the street contest by doing a tre flip to front smith on the hubba kick flip out.
After the street contest we moved on to the mini ramp competition. The winner of this portion of the night was Chase Fuller, he also took home a cash prize and some more goods from the sponsors! Everyone also came out dressed up in their raddest halloween attire, seeing the pro team skating in costumes made the night even better! After the mini contest we ended the night with another full hour of free skate to give everyone else a chance to show what they could do. The entire night was a huge success. We gave away over $1,000 in prizes, and had an awesome time celebrating Halloween with the whole OC Ramps crew.
