Give your home session room to open up

If transition is what brings you back for another run, give it a bigger place in your setup. The 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe offers a broad face and coping span at three feet two inches tall. Two plywood riding layers, photo-guided kit assembly and rear caster wheels bring the practical details together around a ramp made for a roomier session.

Add width without adding height

This model has the same three-foot-two-inch height as the four- and six-foot-wide quarter pipes, with eight feet across the ramp instead. The difference is room across the transition and coping, not a taller drop. Think about the lines and coping tricks you want to work on when deciding whether that extra width belongs in your setup.

Plan a home for the whole ramp

An eight-foot width and six-foot-five-inch depth take up a meaningful part of a home skate space. Add the approach and return path before comparing that footprint with the area available. Our Space and Fit guide gives you a practical way to measure it. Need a different layout? OC Ramps custom builds can help you explore a park designed around your space.

Keep the plywood ready for more sessions

The riding surface includes two plywood layers. Optional Skate Paint coats exposed wood to help protect it; it does not replace either layer or add a separate surface sheet. An outdoor ramp also needs ongoing attention beyond the initial coating. Our Ramp Care guide helps you plan protection, checks and upkeep as part of owning your setup.

Bring the kit together with photo-guided assembly

The ramp arrives as a kit with the materials, hardware and photo instructions for assembly. You will need a drill and wrench, plus working space around the build. If putting it together is the part you would rather hand over, discuss your project with OC Ramps installation services before making your plans.

Think through storage before it is built

Rear caster wheels help move the quarter pipe, but its 350-pound weight and eight-foot width still matter. Choose a storage position and a clear route to it while you are planning the skate area. That way the ramp can work with the other things your space needs to do, not just the next session.

We are very happy so far with our purchase. The kids love the ramps. The skate paint is easy enough to apply, but I wouldn't recommend to let the kids help like I did. Haha

I purchased the 8 foot quarter pipe for my driveway and this ramp is perfect. Easy to wheel in and out of the garage and building it took a little under 5 hours by myself. I was a little concerned the ramp would be too heavy to move by myself (~300 lbs), but it is manageable with one person (helps a lot if you use your skateboard like a wedge to get your hands under when you tilt it up.) Delivery was relatively quick and easy. I will definitely be purchasing from OC ramps again (already eyeing the 2 foot quarterpipe for me basement). Awesome ramps!

Purchased the 8 foot quarter pipe for my 12 year old daughter. Customer service was responsive and helpful. It arrived before Christmas as promised. My husband and daughter built the ramp over two days, but it could have been done in one. A powerful, fully charged drill is a must. Definitely requires more than one to assemble. Followed the included instructions, so assembly was straightforward. Also purchased two quarts of the skate paint. Only used one full quart. However since the weather was cold and damp, it took several days to dry. The ramp is strong and the quality is great. Overall, if you're looking for a skate ramp, I recommend checking out OC Ramps.

I purchased an 8 foot quarter pipe from OC ramps to skate and ride BMX. The kit arrived in good condition and was packaged up neatly. Instructions were easy to follow but one tip I'd recommend is to pre-set all of the screws by hand before flipping the side boards up. This will save time. It only took me and my 7-year-old son about 4 hours to build. (This includes breaks for drill charging.) It was easy to put together and a very enjoyable bonding experience. During the assembly, I called OC Ramps to double-check on something and Tyler hopped right on the phone with me and helped me out. The ramp looks and feels great -- very stable and solid. Thanks again OC Ramps!

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp
What distinguishes the 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp from the Dave and Cody Equation model?

The two ramps share the same 3-foot-2-inch height, 8-foot width, 6-foot-5-inch depth, 350-pound weight, rear casters, two plywood riding layers, and optional two-quart Skate Paint choice. The Dave and Cody version adds The Equation identity. Choose that model when its signature context belongs in the setup; choose this standard model when the shared geometry and configuration are the deciding factors.

When should I choose one 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp instead of the pair?

Choose the single ramp when one broad transition supplies the intended coping span and leaves the rest of the site open. The Pair of 8 Foot Quarter Pipes provides two complete 350-pound ramps that can face each other or anchor separate approaches. The pair is appropriate only when the property can support two full footprints, two clear routes, and planned movement and storage for both ramps.

How does the 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp compare with the 8 Foot Wide Half Pipe?

The quarter pipe is one 3-foot-2-inch-tall transition with a 6-foot-5-inch depth and rear casters. The half pipe connects two sides across a 22-foot-8-inch length, starts 3.5 feet tall, and can add one 5-foot corner. Choose the quarter pipe when one movable return point fits the setup; choose the half pipe when the site and session call for a connected back-and-forth ramp.

What can riders practice on the 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp?

Use the 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp for transition practice such as kickturns, rock-to-fakies, axle stalls, and launching into a line. Its height, width, and mobility determine how it fits with the rest of the setup, so start with a clear approach and progress within the rider's ability.

Can I return the 8 Foot Wide Quarter Pipe Ramp if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Review the current OC Ramps Return Policy before ordering.
