Secret White Mini Ramp Build for Daewon Song at Meta Lab LA!
We had to wait a full year before we could actually post about this build. NDAs were signed and we were dealing with Meta. You do not want to mess with the Facebook mafia.

In the summer of 2025 we had a production company shoot us an email to see if we could hop on a Zoom call and discuss building a custom ramp for a very important A-list client. Upon signing documents we discovered it was for a new video project featuring one of the world's most technical and well-known skateboarders Daewon Song.
Our ears perked up immediately. We use Meta every day in our personal and business lives and Daewon Song is an absolute legend in skateboarding. Of course we are familiar with Daewon's legendary skateboard history including one of the most famous mini ramp video parts ever "Cheese and Crackers." That video part changed the way people look at skateboarding on a smaller half-pipe. It gave real credibility and notoriety to the detailed technical tricks you can do on a mini ramp. Our mini ramps and half pipes have been our biggest sellers since we started offering skateboard ramp kits in the early 2000s. So getting the chance to work with Meta and Mr. Song was an opportunity we jumped on right away.
To celebrate the return of Meta Lab LA the team created "Leave Your Mark" a cinematic love letter to skateboarding creativity and community. The short film stars and is narrated by Daewon Song himself and features a global crew of skater-artists. It is all about giving back to skateboarding and the inspiration it brings. Key people involved include director and editor Colin Read, producer Alex P. Zander, music by Bennett Eiferman and animation contributions from many talented artists. The project even had a physical installation in the Westbourne Drive window at Meta Lab LA. It was an honor to build the ramp that appeared in this high-profile production.
In our phone calls and Zoom meetings we discussed the services we provide. The production crew let us see the warehouse space visually so we could understand the exact length and width they needed. They wanted minimal branding everything painted clean white and a simple look overall. Simplicity was the name of the game. It was very important that we build the ramp exactly to their specs and install it in a tight window just before filming. They also needed us to strike and remove the ramp the day after production wrapped. Everything had to fit their strict timeline.
They ultimately decided on a 3 1/2 foot tall by 12 foot wide by 23 foot long mini ramp. As usual we cut all the pieces on our CNC machines in Orange County. We loaded the trucks and headed to Los Angeles. We were fortunate to back our truck directly up to the warehouse space. Our crew spent the next five hours assembling the ramp. Once it was built we brought out the paint and brushes and applied a fresh clean coat of white. The production crew came through for final approval and everyone was fired up about this beautiful piece. They filmed with Daewon Song and the next day notified us to remove the ramp. Our crew returned disassembled everything and loaded it away in about two hours.

We could NOT post anything due to the NDA we signed and the secrecy required for their release schedule. These photos have been sitting in the archives until today! The video is now out and you can see it below.
