Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert 2025 – Skateboarding, Legends, and OC Ramps in the Mix!

Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert 2025 was nothing short of legendary!!

The event is a FREE two-day vert skateboarding competition and Legends Demo that drew the best vert skateboarders from around the globe, past and present. Hosted in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah, this event is where skateboarding history meets the future of the sport.

This marked our second consecutive year being invited by Tony’s team to set up an exclusive pop-up skatepark, open to the public to shred all weekend long. When that call comes in from Hawk’s crew, you know it’s going to be epic. Our OC Ramps crew flew out of Orange County, joined by none other than skate legend Christian Hosoi.

Once we touched down in Salt Lake, there was no time to waste — we got straight to work building out the park so it would be dialed in for the event’s opening the next morning.

Within just a few hours, the squad had the setup dialed: a couple of quarter pipes, a smooth bank ramp, and a selection of OC Ramps signature skate rails and obstacles.

To top it off, we added a fingerboard ramp product display so everyone — from pros to mini shredders — had something to ride.

Day one kicked off with a rush — our booth was posted right at the entrance, so every guest coming through the doors to the Vert Ramp Arena passed right by our setup. The second those ramps opened, the lines were stacked with skaters of all ages and skill levels, stoked to drop in and create their own lines. Watching kids rearrange the obstacles to suit their style, mixing creativity with progression. That’s what skateboarding is all about.

Between runs, we got to reconnect with Bryce, a past OC Ramps employee and longtime friend, and meet a handful of our customers in person. Hearing stories about which OC Ramps setups they had back home — and how much they’ve helped their skills and brought endless hours of fun — was a highlight for sure.

To turn the hype up even more, we threw down a Best Trick Contest for the youth. The stakes? An OC Ramps skateboard deck and a complete OC Ramps fingerboard kit.

The tricks were heavy, the style was on point, and the stoke level was high.

In the end, it came down to two standout winners — congrats, you guys earned it!

Of course, we had to sneak inside the arena to watch the Legends Demo — and wow!!! Seeing Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Sandro Dias, and more rip the vert ramp was pure magic. The level of skill, flow, and creativity was jaw-dropping, proving once again why these guys are icons of the sport.
