Malibu Halfpipe Reborn: A Backyard Ramp Revamp
We’re pulling back the curtain on a Malibu backyard transformation that turned an old, weathered mini ramp into a shred-ready masterpiece.
Our licensed crew rolled up to the scene with some extra firepower—pro skaters Dave Bachinsky, Christian Sereika, and our own Tom Ryen (you know him as TomTom). Armed with drills and a few thousand screws, they tore into the old ramp like it owed them money. By midday, the creaky relic was history, leaving us a blank slate under the Malibu sun.

No time to waste—the guys jumped straight into building mode. Picture this: 2x4's snapping together and the buzz of power tools mixing with ocean breezes. Before you could blink, a slick new ramp started taking shape.

This wasn’t just any kit—the customer went big with a 16-foot-wide setup, double extensions for extra air, and premium Gatorskins weather panels to keep it pristine rain or shine.
We threw in some custom flair too: sturdy safety railings for peace of mind and a crisp coat of paint around the outer edge that made the ramp’s natural wood grain pop against the coastal backdrop.

Most of the build wrapped in a single day, but perfection takes time. The crew came back the following morning for a few more hours, adding the final touches and tightening bolts.

Then came the best part—quality control. Dave, Christian, and TomTom didn’t just inspect the ramp; they shredded it. Dropping in, carving lines, and testing every inch, they made sure this halfpipe could handle the wildest sessions.
The customer—a mom with some lucky kids—watched in awe, her grin saying it all: “This is unreal.” She couldn’t wait for her crew to take it for a spin.

From teardown chaos to a pro-approved playground, this Malibu rebuild was a blast to bring to life. Another ramp in the books—and another stoked family ready to roll!
