Make a straight bank part of your everyday spot

There is more than one way to bring a slope into a skate setup. This eight-foot-wide Bank gives you a broad, straight incline, with room to choose your approach across the face. It is a substantial ramp for a dedicated part of your spot, supplied as a kit with photo instructions so you can build around the skating you want.

Choose the slope you want to skate

A bank has a straight inclined face; a quarter pipe curves through a transition. That changes the movement you repeat before height and width even enter the decision. Choose this Bank when a broad straight slope belongs in your session, whether it becomes a main feature or part of a larger route. Our Ramp Shape guide explains the difference.

Give eight feet of bank room to work

The Bank measures eight feet wide, seven feet five inches deep and three feet two inches high. Put those measurements on the ground, then include the space you need to approach and leave it. This is one fixed-size ramp, so check the full layout before ordering. Our Space and Fit guide helps you account for access as well as skating.

Plan the position before moving the ramp

Rear caster wheels help reposition the Bank when the layout changes. At 350 pounds, it still needs a deliberate moving plan rather than a quick carry between sessions. Think through the route to the final location and leave room to settle the ramp before use. The Shipping and Delivery guide helps you plan how the parts will reach your build area.

Set aside time to build your bank

The kit includes assembly hardware and a photo instruction booklet. You will need a drill and wrench, with an estimated two to three hours for assembly. Organize the work area around the size of the finished ramp, and leave time to check the build before skating. If you want help with assembly, explore OC Ramps installation services for your project and location.

Protect the plywood riding face

The Bank uses a plywood riding face and specifies two quarts of Skate Paint for its exposed wood. That is a protective coating, not an included Skatelite surface. If you are considering a separate riding panel, its fit, supporting layers and quantity need their own plan. Our Riding Surfaces guide explains the different roles before you choose materials.

Questions about Bank Skateboard Ramp

How is the Bank Skateboard Ramp different from a compact Wedge Bump?

The Bank is a full eight-foot-wide, 350-pound ramp built for a substantial dedicated spot. A Wedge Bump is a much smaller connector or launch point. Choose the Bank when a broad bank face is the primary feature, not an accessory between other obstacles.

Can I choose a different Bank Skateboard Ramp size at checkout?

No. The Bank is offered as one 8-foot-wide, 7-foot-5-inch-deep, 3-foot-2-inch-high configuration. Confirm that complete ramp body, plus its run-in and roll-away, fits before ordering. If the site needs a smaller footprint, compare a different ramp instead of expecting a Bank size selector.

How does the Bank Skateboard Ramp compare with Launch WR?

The Bank is an eight-foot-wide, 350-pound ramp with one broad straight face. Launch WR is a compact two-foot-wide obstacle with separate launch and wallie faces. Choose the Bank when a substantial straight incline should anchor the site; choose Launch WR when two smaller working faces and planned movement better fit the session.

How can riders use the Bank Skateboard Ramp?

Use the Bank Skateboard Ramp as a line-building obstacle for launches, ollies, and other tricks that fit its exact shape. Give the feature a straight approach and clear landing or exit, then progress from basic rollovers and controlled launches within the rider's ability.

Can I return the Bank Skateboard Ramp if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Review the current OC Ramps Return Policy before ordering.

The internet has all sorts of terrible ideas as to how to quiet or dampen the sound of your skateboard ramp - in particular the mini ramps (or halfpipes).

You may read about wives tales on using insulation, filling the coping with whatever, or add pillows and blankets behind the ramp.  We are here to clear the air….that is all nonsense.

There are really only 2 suggestions to help quiet your mini ramp.

  1. You can close up the back of your skateboard ramp with ¾” thick plywood.  This will eliminate the hollow sound significantly.  Again, don’t read into the bogus information about filling in that empty space before you close it up with plywood.  It doesn’t work.  Simply closing up the backend will help with the noise.  Some customers will get creative with it- we’ve seen several put hinges on the backend - making a custom door for storage, etc.  That is entirely optional to make use of the space.  But in terms of noise levels, close it up.

  2. Also using a softer gel wheel is helpful to give you the incognito vibe your neighbors won’t complain about while shredding your skateboard ramp. Generally the harder the wheel, the louder they hear ya coming! Many skaters have multiple skateboards with a different set of wheels, most prefer the harder wheels during normal street skating use & then at night we switch over to the gel softer wheels so your neighbor’s can get their precious sleep & you can shred your heart out!  Not every skater likes riding a gel wheel.  There are many pros/cons.  For this conversation, the biggest pro for having a softer wheel is the reduced noise factor.  If you have neighbors that are goin to be a narc, just throw on the soft wheels!

    Great Bank

Easy to assemble, good dimensions. I like that it's 8ft wide, gives enough room to roll out from tricks. Not too mellow, not too aggressive on the slope.
