This past Saturday, April 4
th, OC Ramps teamed up with
Red Bull and
Kogi BBQ and put on a rad event at our warehouse. The Curb Kings Skate Jam was from 11-2 and we had a ton of our obstacles set up inside, as well as the
halfpipe in the back to skate. This event was collegiate, so only skaters 18+ could register to compete.
Tons of pros showed up to skate including Joey Brezinski, Charlie Blair, Chad Fernandez and Kurtis Colamonico. From the OC Ramps team we had
Cody Mcentire,
TJ Rogers,
Greg Lutzka, Ryan Decenzo,
Nick Palmquist and
Christian Sereika. From 11:00-11:30 we had free skate for all the participants and everyone was able to try all the OC Ramps obstacles that were set up in the warehouse. At 11:30 the competition began, starting with the best trick on the picnic benches and the
butter benches. The winner of this portion of the competition was John Sarna. The second trick contest was using wallies and curbs, Dylan Hendron took home the win on this. The last portion of Skate Jam was Legends of the Ledges and the winner of that section was JP Oliveira. Everyone had an awesome time, enjoying the Kogi food truck, trying the new summer flavors for Red Bull handed out by the Red Bull Girls and of course, skating and watching the competition.
