One combo, more ways to skate

The GRL Combo brings a grind box, rail and launch ramp together in one obstacle. Choose a rail trick, work on the box or take the launch into your next line. The six-foot grind box gives the combination a street-style focus with more than one way to spend the session.

Work the rail for grind sessions

Use the rail as your target for a grind or slide, with the rest of the combo giving you other features to return to. Plan the approach and exit around the rail trick you want to practice so the whole obstacle has a useful place in your spot.

Give the six-foot box its own session

The grind box is six feet long, giving you a separate target for box grinds and slides within the same combo. Choose the edge and approach for the trick you want to revisit, then leave space to roll away. You can change the focus of the session without changing obstacles.

Bring the launch into the run

The launch ramp adds a ramp approach to the combo's grind features. Work it into the route you want to skate, with clear space for the run-in and landing. Our Space and Fit guide helps you plan around every side you intend to use, not just the box's length.

Build the combo before choosing the first trick

The GRL Combo has an estimated thirty-minute assembly time. Set aside that build time before the first session, then check where the finished obstacle will sit and how you will approach its different features. The assembled combo weighs 45 pounds, which also belongs in your placement plan.

Look after the wood between sessions

Plan for one quart of Skate Paint to coat the wooden parts of the combo. Keep that work in the setup plan, then check and care for the wood as you use the obstacle. Our Ramp Care guide helps you make maintenance part of keeping the spot ready for the next run.

Questions about GRL Ramp, Rail and Grind Box Combo

What tricks can I practice on the GRL Combo?

Use the grind box for 50-50s, slides, and manuals; the skate rail for boardslides and rail grinds; and the launch ramp for ollies, flip tricks, and grabs. The GRL Combo supports several kinds of sessions in one product, so riders can focus on one feature at a time or link compatible tricks into a line.

What comes with the GRL Combo?

The GRL Combo includes one 6-foot grind box, one orange skate rail, one launch ramp, and the required kit hardware. Those three skating features are sold together as one combo.

Should I add Skate Paint to the GRL Combo?

Add the one-quart Skate Paint option when you want protection for the exposed plywood. GatorSkins and Skatelite Pro are not available for this product, so Skate Paint is the surface-protection upgrade offered for the GRL Combo.

How long does the GRL Combo take to assemble?

Plan about 30 minutes for assembly. Keep the grind box, rail, launch ramp, and required hardware together while unpacking, use the current assembly guidance for this exact kit, and assemble the combo on a level work area.

Can I return the GRL Ramp, Rail and Grind Box Combo if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. What to Expect

We have two teams working around the clock to mass produce the beloved kits that are in high demand, after all we service ALL skaters worldwide! The fabrication time in our warehouse starts when you place the order as the information prints out directly to our team to start production. After the kit is created, the next process is actual transit time. We work with several carriers for a variety of our products to help cut down on transit times and delays.

Our Quarter Pipe kits (4ft wide Quarter Pipe & larger), Half Pipes, and sheets of GatorSkins or Skatelite Pro all ship on a double size pallet (4ft wide x 8ft long) via freight carrier. As the double sized pallet leaves our warehouse, the freight carrier will then begin the transit process to get your order over to your local delivery terminal. As your shipment arrives in your local area, the freight carrier will have an appointment setter call you directly to schedule an appointment for delivery. Just like when you book an appointment with the cable company, you will be given a 4 – 8-hour window of delivery.

The freight driver will then arrive at your residential delivery address on the day of your scheduled appointment. Please note that this will be a curbside delivery. The driver will not be able to pull into your driveway or any other requested area on your property. You will want to be sure to have 2 – 3 able-bodied adults, in total, at your place of residence during the delivery window to assist with the unloading of this pallet. Provided the size and weight of these shipments, a liftgate is not permitted and drivers are unable to assist with any of the hand unloading process. The pallet is easy to breakdown to execute a hand unloading process with yourself and a few additional helping hands.

The entire unloading process may seem daunting however it is a fairly simple process that can be executed within 10 – 20 minutes! Please keep in mind that delays may occur with the delivery. We understand that this can be frustrating. If you experience a missed appointment, please reach out to us and our team is happy to help.

If you notice any damages or issues with the order upon receiving, please proceed with accepting the shipment, but notate on the delivery receipt by stating “DAMAGE” when signing the delivery receipt. You do not need to itemize any material which was damaged when accepting the shipment. Once your shipment has been unloaded and signed, please email our team directly with the damage(s), proof of signed delivery receipt which has been notated as damaged along with full length pictures of the material which was damaged. We will work on resolving the issue immediately.

The internet has all sorts of terrible ideas as to how to quiet or dampen the sound of your skateboard ramp - in particular the mini ramps (or halfpipes).

You may read about wives tales on using insulation, filling the coping with whatever, or add pillows and blankets behind the ramp.  We are here to clear the air….that is all nonsense.

There are really only 2 suggestions to help quiet your mini ramp.

  1. You can close up the back of your skateboard ramp with ¾” thick plywood.  This will eliminate the hollow sound significantly.  Again, don’t read into the bogus information about filling in that empty space before you close it up with plywood.  It doesn’t work.  Simply closing up the backend will help with the noise.  Some customers will get creative with it- we’ve seen several put hinges on the backend - making a custom door for storage, etc.  That is entirely optional to make use of the space.  But in terms of noise levels, close it up.

  2. Also using a softer gel wheel is helpful to give you the incognito vibe your neighbors won’t complain about while shredding your skateboard ramp. Generally the harder the wheel, the louder they hear ya coming! Many skaters have multiple skateboards with a different set of wheels, most prefer the harder wheels during normal street skating use & then at night we switch over to the gel softer wheels so your neighbor’s can get their precious sleep & you can shred your heart out!  Not every skater likes riding a gel wheel.  There are many pros/cons.  For this conversation, the biggest pro for having a softer wheel is the reduced noise factor.  If you have neighbors that are goin to be a narc, just throw on the soft wheels!

Ordered a grind box with rail and 2 quarter pipes from them. The prices were good and the shipping was really quick (to northern Nevada!). These items were perfect for the beginning of a skate park at home! I also experienced issues with orders and the assembly of the product, and they were extremely attentive to all my issues — which, as someone who works in sales, is what really matters no matter what problem pops up ! If you’re buying these as a parent, assembling is a fun project to do with your kids.

Awesome equipment and pretty easy to set up! Im a youth pastor with about 30 kids that love to skate and everyone of them love the new equipment. I think the best part about OC ramps Is there quality work, but also how fast I received my order. Definitely going to reorder from OC Ramps in the near future.
