A HUF shoe box you can skate

Bring the HUF x OC Ramps Shoe Box into your spot for a ledge with a recognizable skate-shop look. Coping along both eight-foot sides gives you two edges for grind-and-slide sessions, with a fifteen-and-a-half-inch height to work into the line.

Make the HUF shoe-box design part of the spot

The HUF collaboration turns a shoe box into a full-size skate ledge. Choose it when you want the obstacle's look to contribute to the setup as much as the tricks you skate on it. It brings a familiar piece of skate culture into a feature you can return to every session.

Keep both long edges in play

Coping runs along both eight-foot sides. Give each side enough room for an approach and roll-away so you can switch the edge you are skating during the session. A 50-50 or slide can be the focus of the run without leaving half the box against a wall.

Picture the approach at fifteen and a half inches

The ledge stands 15.5 inches high. Compare it with the curbs or boxes you already skate, then think about the trick you want to bring to this edge. The height helps you choose the target; the HUF design gives that target its character.

Give the box a full riding area

The Shoe Box measures eight feet long and four feet wide. Include the paths into and away from each usable edge when you mark its position. Our Space and Fit guide helps you check the space for the session as well as the rectangle occupied by the box.

Plan access for a finished ledge

The HUF Shoe Box requires no assembly. Plan the route into its final position with the full eight-foot length and four-foot width in mind, including any gates or narrow turns. You can skip a kit build, but the complete obstacle still needs a clear path into the spot.

Questions about HUF Shoe Box Skate Ledge

How does the HUF Shoe Box compare with the éS Shoe Box Ledge?

Both measure 15.5 inches high, four feet wide and eight feet long, with coping along both long sides. Choose between the HUF and éS collaboration designs based on the look you want in your setup.

Why choose the HUF Shoe Box instead of a plain grind box?

The HUF collaboration brings an oversized shoe-box design to a ledge for grinds and slides. Choose it when that design is part of what you want in the spot, then compare the footprint and skating edges with the other box you are considering.

When is a one-edge ledge a better fit than the HUF Shoe Box?

Consider a one-edge ledge if your layout gives you only one useful approach. The HUF Shoe Box offers coping on both long sides, so leaving access to both lets you use both edges. Compare each candidate's actual footprint with the riding space you have.

What tricks can riders practice on the HUF Shoe Box Skate Ledge?

Use the HUF Shoe Box Skate Ledge for ledge skills such as 50-50 grinds, boardslides, noseslides, and ollies on or off the obstacle. Where the top and geometry support it, riders can also work on manuals and nose manuals.

Can I return the HUF Shoe Box Skate Ledge if it is not the right fit?

Eligible unused products may be requested for return within 30 calendar days of purchase when they are in original condition and packaging with all included parts and manuals. Customized, used, skated, damaged, or incomplete products are not eligible, and freight, original shipping, processing costs, and a restocking fee may apply. Shipping & Product Info

Huf Shoe Box – Skate Ledge arrives to your door and ready to skate!

All materials are designed for outdoor use.

What to Expect

We have two teams working around the clock to mass produce the beloved kits that are in high demand, after all we service ALL skaters worldwide! The fabrication time in our warehouse starts when you place the order as the information prints out directly to our team to start production. After the kit is created, the next process is actual transit time. We work with several carriers for a variety of our products to help cut down on transit times and delays.

Our Quarter Pipe kits (4ft wide Quarter Pipe & larger), Half Pipes, and sheets of GatorSkins or Skatelite Pro all ship on a double size pallet (4ft wide x 8ft long) via freight carrier. As the double sized pallet leaves our warehouse, the freight carrier will then begin the transit process to get your order over to your local delivery terminal. As your shipment arrives in your local area, the freight carrier will have an appointment setter call you directly to schedule an appointment for delivery. Just like when you book an appointment with the cable company, you will be given a 4 – 8-hour window of delivery.

The freight driver will then arrive at your residential delivery address on the day of your scheduled appointment. Please note that this will be a curbside delivery. The driver will not be able to pull into your driveway or any other requested area on your property. You will want to be sure to have 2 – 3 able-bodied adults, in total, at your place of residence during the delivery window to assist with the unloading of this pallet. Provided the size and weight of these shipments, a liftgate is not permitted and drivers are unable to assist with any of the hand unloading process. The pallet is easy to breakdown to execute a hand unloading process with yourself and a few additional helping hands.

The entire unloading process may seem daunting however it is a fairly simple process that can be executed within 10 – 20 minutes! Please keep in mind that delays may occur with the delivery. We understand that this can be frustrating. If you experience a missed appointment, please reach out to us and our team is happy to help.

If you notice any damages or issues with the order upon receiving, please proceed with accepting the shipment, but notate on the delivery receipt by stating “DAMAGE” when signing the delivery receipt. You do not need to itemize any material which was damaged when accepting the shipment. Once your shipment has been unloaded and signed, please email our team directly with the damage(s), proof of signed delivery receipt which has been notated as damaged along with full length pictures of the material which was damaged. We will work on resolving the issue immediately.

The internet has all sorts of terrible ideas as to how to quiet or dampen the sound of your skateboard ramp - in particular the mini ramps (or halfpipes).

You may read about wives tales on using insulation, filling the coping with whatever, or add pillows and blankets behind the ramp.  We are here to clear the air….that is all nonsense.

There are really only 2 suggestions to help quiet your mini ramp.

  1. You can close up the back of your skateboard ramp with ¾” thick plywood.  This will eliminate the hollow sound significantly.  Again, don’t read into the bogus information about filling in that empty space before you close it up with plywood.  It doesn’t work.  Simply closing up the backend will help with the noise.  Some customers will get creative with it- we’ve seen several put hinges on the backend - making a custom door for storage, etc.  That is entirely optional to make use of the space.  But in terms of noise levels, close it up.

  2. Also using a softer gel wheel is helpful to give you the incognito vibe your neighbors won’t complain about while shredding your skateboard ramp. Generally the harder the wheel, the louder they hear ya coming! Many skaters have multiple skateboards with a different set of wheels, most prefer the harder wheels during normal street skating use & then at night we switch over to the gel softer wheels so your neighbor’s can get their precious sleep & you can shred your heart out!  Not every skater likes riding a gel wheel.  There are many pros/cons.  For this conversation, the biggest pro for having a softer wheel is the reduced noise factor.  If you have neighbors that are goin to be a narc, just throw on the soft wheels!

We purchased 2 OC Ramps in 2016 in honor of our son who loved skateboarding and placed them at our local skatepark. He died by suicide and we help host an annual skate competition at that skatepark called Ham City Jam in EFFINGHAM Illinois. The 2 ramps we had purchased are still in good condition today. They are great products and would recommend them. You can’t really see it good in this picture but the green box is a favorite at the park!

I have purchased a few items from OC ramps, I purchased a skate box from them a few years ago which I still use, recently I purchased the ride on rail. It arrived quickly, is very well made, and has been the perfect rail to ride in my garage while I wait for warmer weather. I would highly recommend their products to anyone.

I am a real man I did not need the directions at all. I just needed an impact drill and a case of beer and had my bump ramp put together in no time. I also bought the Huf shoebox. The only complete that I could say would be I wish the edges of the ramp in shoebox made out of a little bit more rigid wood that would take a beating a little bit better. I am satisfied with them. Maybe I’ll add another coat of skate paint.
