Twelve feet across, with room to keep going

A 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe Ramp gives a home session more room across the transition while remaining a defined, buildable project. The best version is not the cheapest surface stack in isolation. It is the width, corner height, and material plan that fits the people and space it is meant to serve.

Reserve room for twelve feet across

This base half pipe is 12 feet wide, 22 feet 8 inches long, and 3.5 feet tall. Use those finished dimensions to plan the site, including the approaches and paths around both decks. The width is valuable only if riders can use it without the surrounding space becoming an obstacle.

Add height only where it changes the session

The 12-foot ramp starts at 3.5 feet and can take one corner extension to reach 5 feet on that side. Choose the extension as a riding decision, not as a decoration. It makes sense when the site and the regular riders will benefit from one taller corner while keeping the opposite transition at the base height.

Choose the full surface stack

One plywood riding layer is included. A second layer keeps wood under the wheels, with two gallons of Skate Paint for bare plywood. Either premium finish uses nine panels and leaves one quart of Skate Paint for exposed wood. GatorSkins is reversible Brown/Green, weatherproof, and marked Best Value. Skatelite Pro is Natural Wood Tan, professional-grade paper-composite, and made as an outdoor final skating surface for skateboards, scooters, BMX, and roller skates. Choose surface and paint together so the 12-foot order describes one complete build.

Give the twelve-foot kit its own workday

Plan five to seven hours with a drill for the 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe Ramp. The cut parts and photo instructions make the process more manageable when they are laid out by stage. Prepare the foundation, group the hardware, and keep the selected surface materials aside until the structure is ready for them.

Finish the plan before requesting help

The half pipe's total decision includes the chosen corner, surface, paint coverage, and labor plan. Keep those details together before comparing the price. Eligible carts may show financing, while paid installation stays quote-based so access, travel, timing, and site readiness are priced for the actual project.

Questions about 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe Ramp

How does the 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe compare with the Garage Mini Ramp?

The 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe has a 3.5-foot base transition, a 22-foot-8-inch length, and one optional 5-foot corner. The Garage Mini Ramp stays 26 inches tall, offers 8-, 12-, or 16-foot widths, and uses a tighter transition. Choose the 12-foot half pipe for the taller session; choose Garage Mini when lower home-scale geometry is the better fit.

What corner-layout flexibility does the 16-foot model add beyond this 12-foot half pipe?

Both models start at 3.5 feet tall and 22 feet 8 inches long. The 12-foot ramp can add one 5-foot corner, while the 16-foot ramp can add one or two. Choose twelve feet when one raised side is enough; choose sixteen when the site supports the extra width and two raised corners matter.

How does the 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe compare with the 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe?

The 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe starts 3.5 feet tall, runs 22 feet 8 inches long, and can add one 5-foot corner. The 5 Foot Tall Halfpipe starts at five feet, uses a 30-foot length for its base 12-foot-wide version, and can add one 7-foot corner. Choose between lower standard geometry and a fundamentally taller, longer project.

Can the 12 Foot Wide Half Pipe use the same surface choices with either height layout?

Yes. Both the 3.5-foot base and the one-corner 5-foot layout can be configured with the included plywood layer, a second plywood layer, Brown or Green GatorSkins, or Skatelite Pro. Paint protection remains a separate choice, with two gallons for bare plywood or one quart for exposed wood beneath a premium surface.

When should I choose the 12-foot model instead of 8 or 16 feet?

Choose 12 feet when the rider needs more span than the eight-foot model and the site cannot use the full sixteen-foot width well. Compare the approaches and deck access at each size; wider is useful only when the surrounding space remains open.

What if the 12-foot layout is close but not quite right?

Do not remove approach, exit, or deck access to force the standard ramp into the site. Use the custom-build path to discuss the usable area and desired transition before selecting a surface, because fit should be settled before finish materials.

What to Expect

We have two teams working around the clock to mass produce the beloved kits that are in high demand, after all we service ALL skaters worldwide! The fabrication time in our warehouse starts when you place the order as the information prints out directly to our team to start production. After the kit is created, the next process is actual transit time. We work with several carriers for a variety of our products to help cut down on transit times and delays.

Our Quarter Pipe kits (4ft wide Quarter Pipe & larger), Half Pipes, and sheets of GatorSkins or Skatelite Pro all ship on a double size pallet (4ft wide x 8ft long) via freight carrier. As the double sized pallet leaves our warehouse, the freight carrier will then begin the transit process to get your order over to your local delivery terminal. As your shipment arrives in your local area, the freight carrier will have an appointment setter call you directly to schedule an appointment for delivery. Just like when you book an appointment with the cable company, you will be given a 4 – 8-hour window of delivery.

The freight driver will then arrive at your residential delivery address on the day of your scheduled appointment. Please note that this will be a curbside delivery. The driver will not be able to pull into your driveway or any other requested area on your property. You will want to be sure to have 2 – 3 able-bodied adults, in total, at your place of residence during the delivery window to assist with the unloading of this pallet. Provided the size and weight of these shipments, a liftgate is not permitted and drivers are unable to assist with any of the hand unloading process. The pallet is easy to breakdown to execute a hand unloading process with yourself and a few additional helping hands.

The entire unloading process may seem daunting however it is a fairly simple process that can be executed within 10 – 20 minutes! Please keep in mind that delays may occur with the delivery. We understand that this can be frustrating. If you experience a missed appointment, please reach out to us and our team is happy to help.

If you notice any damages or issues with the order upon receiving, please proceed with accepting the shipment, but notate on the delivery receipt by stating “DAMAGE” when signing the delivery receipt. You do not need to itemize any material which was damaged when accepting the shipment. Once your shipment has been unloaded and signed, please email our team directly with the damage(s), proof of signed delivery receipt which has been notated as damaged along with full length pictures of the material which was damaged. We will work on resolving the issue immediately.

The internet has all sorts of terrible ideas as to how to quiet or dampen the sound of your skateboard ramp - in particular the mini ramps (or halfpipes).

You may read about wives tales on using insulation, filling the coping with whatever, or add pillows and blankets behind the ramp.  We are here to clear the air….that is all nonsense.

There are really only 2 suggestions to help quiet your mini ramp.

  1. You can close up the back of your skateboard ramp with ¾” thick plywood.  This will eliminate the hollow sound significantly.  Again, don’t read into the bogus information about filling in that empty space before you close it up with plywood.  It doesn’t work.  Simply closing up the backend will help with the noise.  Some customers will get creative with it- we’ve seen several put hinges on the backend - making a custom door for storage, etc.  That is entirely optional to make use of the space.  But in terms of noise levels, close it up.

  2. Also using a softer gel wheel is helpful to give you the incognito vibe your neighbors won’t complain about while shredding your skateboard ramp. Generally the harder the wheel, the louder they hear ya coming! Many skaters have multiple skateboards with a different set of wheels, most prefer the harder wheels during normal street skating use & then at night we switch over to the gel softer wheels so your neighbor’s can get their precious sleep & you can shred your heart out!  Not every skater likes riding a gel wheel.  There are many pros/cons.  For this conversation, the biggest pro for having a softer wheel is the reduced noise factor.  If you have neighbors that are goin to be a narc, just throw on the soft wheels!

Waited 35 years and not disappointed.

I've wanted a ramp since the late 80s as a kid. Finally have the back yard and decided to build a ramp. I dont have much time so finding a pre cut ramp kit was a great option. Directions were pretty easy, quality of the lumber was great (hard to find these days) and the size of the ramp was perfect for what I wanted. Only complaint some of the screws snap during install or while riding but the design has plenty of screws to hold the surface down. I highly, highly recommend gator skins or skate lite. Not only makes the ramp more weather proof but much much stronger. Had a tree fall on the ramp a few weeks after it wad built and their customer service helped me find the replacement materials. Called me back in a few hours. That meant a lot. I'll always use OC ramps for my ramps and rails!

The mini ramp came in a short amount of time and was very easy to follow the directions when building the kit. Now I use the ramp everyday and it is one of my favorite activities. Great product from a great company!

Very happy with my purchase. Got the 12 foot wide 3 1/2 foot tall mini ramp and couldnt love it more. Built the entire thing by myself in about 40 hours including skate paint. Super easy to put together and arerived packaged very neatly and conveniently sectioned off to make the build as easy as possible.
