Carlsbad Event with Bones Wheels

We were recently contacted by Bones Wheels and the city of Carlsbad (San Diego county).  They were doing a free event for the local teens and planned on inviting several skateboarders from the community.

The theme was;  Full Deck: A Short History of Skate Art

There were tours of an awesome exhibition of nearly 300 decks and boards loaned by artists, skaters, and companies from across the country and locally, including Oceanside artist Wes Humpston, co-founder of DogTown and Bulldog Skates, Tony Hawk’s Vista-based Birdhouse, Mike McGill’s Skateshop in Encinitas, Transworld Skateboarding Magazine in Carlsbad and Larry Balma, Founder of the California Surf Museum in Oceanside.
